Inorder to observe the International Climate Action day , iGREEN-Tamil Nadu and Radio Mirchi-Madurai had jointly conducted Cycle Rally for School and College students on 22nd October 2010. The Cycle rally was inaugurated by Madurai District Collector. Mr. C. Kamaraj, I.A.S. The aim of the Cycle rally was to create awareness for reducing the CO2 level from 390 ppm to 350 ppm and to spread the message on usage of cycles instead of carbon emitting vehicles. Around 500 students participated in this rally.
After the successful cycle rally, iGREEN-Tamil Nadu and Radio Mirchi-Madurai distributed Tree saplings to School and College students who actively participated in it . The tree saplings were sponsored by Suguna Chicken.
Mr. Radha Manalan- Program Head of Radio Mirchi, RJs of Madurai Radio Mirchi-Madurai and Mr. Prabhu, HR executive of Suguna Chicken also participated in the event.
