A Program, Seminar and Rally on "Conserving Endangered species - Nilgri Tarh" - and Grassland",


A Program, Seminar and Rally on "Conserving Endangered species - Nilgri Tarh" - and Grassland", was organised by ACT India Foundation (supported by NEAC 2010 - 2011 - Ministry of Environment and Forest and PEACE Trust Dindigul) in collaboration with iGREEN and HERO Trust for the students of Government High school, Poomparai village, Kodaiknal Taluk on 23-03-2011. The program was inaugurated by Headmistress Ms. Victoria and Presided over by Ms. Krishnaveni, Member of Panchayat Union. Mr. Ashok Raja, Managing Trustee of ACT India Foundation explained the objective of the program. Mr. Santhappan, Convener, 'Revitalize the Western Ghats' explained about the importance of  conserving endangered species and Forest.

Mr. Francis Xavier, convener of iGREEN explained about 350 Campaign and its relevance and importance to conservation of mountainous forest and wild life. After the seminar a rally was conducted in public by 500 students demanding "Save Forest, Save Wild Life, Save Grass land and Grow more trees".
